Celebrating Lana Beth Fisher!

Lana Beth Fisher ... she truly did 'fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith' (2 Tim 4:7). You just would not believe the Celebration that took place September 8, 2009... better yet the Celebration that took place September 3rd, 2009! This 'funeral' that we all appropriately are calling a 'Celebration' was just that! Celebrating the incredible life, faith and testimony of Lana ... celebrating what she was truly living for ('for to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain' Phil 1:21), the faith she had in a Living Loving Relational Jesus, and the testimony of how she stood firm in His Word, unwavering in hope of Eternity with the One she so loved. Of the many Scriptures referenced, one that so reflected her story and this day was Revelation 12:11, "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death".
Testimony after testimony was shared that echoed this Truth... by the blood of the Lamb! Lana did not shrink from death! Satan was overcome! "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" 1 Cor 15:55-56
We, there, had the privelege to stand and worship together, tears streaming down faces, beholding the Glory of God. It was an experience that Brad and I will never forget, for it had an eternal impact on us... and Lana's testimony will be remembered, retold, and reflected on until God calls us Home as well! Oh if we could all take this Message that she was proclaiming so courageously to heart, and really live it out!
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Cor 12:9-10
We saw a beautiful picture in how to grieve with hope... How to trust God through the deepest of the darkest valleys ... and were reminded of what Eternal Perspective is really all about.

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones." Psalm 116:15

Lana went Home

Friends, Family.. Prayer Warriors,

We found out yesterday that our sweet friend and courageous warrior in Christ, Lana Beth Fisher, just passed away yesterday morning (9-3-09). We are rejoicing through painful tears.... I have no doubt that her triumphant entry into Glory was absolutely indescribable... All faithful heroes for our King that have gone before us arose, I am sure, in the celestial grandstands to applaud her crossing the finish line ... I can see Elma in the stands lifting her hands in praise to our Glorious God for a race so well run! So well run... Oh how I can just hear the Lord whispering 'well done... well done...'

Many of you do not know her personally, but saw their link and read our comments on our blog. Please go to their website, http://www.fisherags.com/, to read more and to see Chad's post yesterday. We cannot fully express what an honor and a privelege it has been to watch her take up her cross, daily, courageously, and follow Christ at all costs. She has brought Him such Glory through it ALL ... One can only truly have this kind of peace, joy, and confidence, in the face of death, when their hope and eternity is secure. She loved her Jesus and it showed through every part of her life -- before the diagnosis of cancer, and throughout every part of this battle.

Please pray for her sweet husband, an amazingly strong and courageous warrior himself, their families, and everyone who knew her.
